Book 1 of "The Mage Series" Lucas Williams- 18 years old, the newest Alpha of the Spirit Lake Pack. He is strong, tough, gorgeous, and intimidating on the outside, but sweet, caring, and a big softie on the inside. He only shows his true self to the people who he trusts and loves. Except for his mate, whom he will instantly care for. Not caring who his mate will be, whether a man, woman, Omega, even a human, he will cherish, love, and protect them forever. Will he accept a Mage though? The Werewolf Deity is Selene, the Moon Goddess and Creator of Werewolves Maxwell (Max) Lavellen- 17 years old, used to be next in line to be First Enchanter of the Lavellen Mage Clan. He was banished from his clan when his father, the current First Enchanter, found out that his only son was gay and refused an arranged marriage to a woman from a different clan. With his mother already dead and him being banished, Max went from being the happy, quiet-but-sassy, shy young Mage, to being very lonely and depressed. With only his staff and magical amulet for support, Max faces banishment and explores the wilderness of Colorado, until he accidentally stumbles onto the territory of a pack of Werewolves, one with the man who might change his life for the better. But trouble is on the rise. For his father and former wife-to-be, are still not done with him. The Mages worship all of the gods, but their main Deity is Demeter, the Greek Goddess of Earth and Harvest. They also worship Gaia, Mother Earth herself. Disclaimer: the name Lavellen is a last name from Dragon Age: Inquisition, so all rights to Bioware! To everything else that is not of my creation, all rights to the people who did create them! Mages can feel the mate bond! Only it's not as strong compared to Werewolves! DON'T STEAL MY FUCKING BOOK! Please vote! This book is BxB! DONT LIKE THESE BOOKS? DON'T READ!

Average xianxia with OP/Special MC and splattering of face-slapping. Synopsis might mislead towards a low-key MC, who quietly accumulates power till he becomes top power - in the story MC quickly shows his power, becomes heir of the sect, no. 1 of new generation. There is no in-sect plotting, there are no young masters to offend, with elders following. While there is lots of killing, it isn't "you looked me wrong, I kill you" type. MC doesn't joins the cliche outer/inner sect, so no low-level fighting of that kind.A decent enough read.

Lackluster. The chapters are monotonous, there are more dialogues and system prompts than actual storytelling. The worldbuilding is confusing. The author does not have a satisfying vocabulary, he keeps saying "the fog makes the world gloomy" every two chapters or so.Not worthy a read.

Great novel, Paced debauchery, Story development is great so far definitely slow paced but reasonable for this story considering the type. I like the world build and the fact that a lot is unexplored at the moment leaving much to the imagination for future endeavors for out MC. All in All great story fingers crossed for a game/real world merge. ?
