The Great Villain Returns from the Side Story

To honor her mother’s dying wish, Jiang Fu took over the base in the fifth year of the apocalypse, dedicating her life to protecting it. Yet her iron-fisted methods gradually bred resentment among those beneath her. And just as she lay gravely wounded after slaying the Zombie King, her own subordinates joined forces and revolted against her.

Her head was severed and hung high above the base’s main gate. Every crime within the base was pinned on her shoulders. She became the most heinous sinner in the world. A life-sized bronze statue of her was made to kneel before the Martyrs’ Cemetery, where anyone could come to curse, strike, or spit on it.

Day after day, year after year, the malice of the world accumulated upon her. Her grief-stricken, indignant soul howled, twisted, fell silent, and warped amid endless slander and humiliation—until it finally erupted in full.

It was not until fifty years later that she learned the truth.

She was merely the villain in a post-apocalyptic novel. Her death and all her suffering had existed only to highlight the righteousness of the male and female protagonists.

After learning the truth, Jiang Fu did not seek revenge in the epilogue.

Instead, she slaughtered her way out of the novel’s side story and back into the main story—returning to the apocalypse, when everyone was still struggling to survive.

This time, before her enemies could rise to power, she would end their promising lives herself.
