By a stroke of luck, a poor orphan girl from the slums, Ann, saves the life of a prince. In gratitude, he bestows upon her an extraordinary opportunity to live in the palace as a royal maid. Though she initially remains by his side as a long-time friend, Ann finds herself inevitably falling in love with him. However, as time passes and the prince’s royal marriage approaches, the moment draws near for her unrequited love to come to an end…

“Do you like men that much?”

“…That’s uncalled for.”

Ann frowned, her gaze steady on the man whose eyes burned with intensity. His expression was dark and severe.

“Isn’t it true? Like a madwoman, you’re running from one man to another…”

“What’s wrong with meeting suitors? I’m of marrying age, after all.”

Ann bit her lip as Lennox slowly parted his own.

“…What’s the problem, exactly?”

“What do you mean?” Ann blinked in confusion, her tone defensive. Lennox’s lashes quivered faintly, betraying an unspoken frustration.

Then, like a predator closing in, he reached out, grabbing her and pushing her against the wall.

Ann yelped, squeezing her eyes shut in shock. Before her head could hit the wall, his hand cradled the back of her head. Trembling, she glared up at him.

“You said you didn’t like me,” he said, his voice low and strained.

“I—I don’t understand what you mean,” she stammered, her words flustered and disjointed.

It was clear he was dredging up memories she would rather forget. Her breath hitched, and a deep flush of embarrassment crept over her cheeks. His expression twisted, his frustration evident.

“You clearly said no.”

“Your Majesty…”

“Was I really that repulsive to you?”

The summary was wrong. The Mc is a guy. With the same plot in the summary but has a check in system in every ancient locations he enter. The character was good (chapter 25) has face slapping moments combined with live broadcast.  Worth a read!

I've read until the latest chapter and this is actually pretty good!Spoilers Ahead....The plot twist on the first test of the Lucid Dream Server was actually what I wasn't expecting and also, this book is not what I was expecting when it comes to a virtual reality novel.  Also, I didn't expect that the main character is literally blind. But although he was blind, the story was not boring. You've outdone yourself, author-san! Thank you so much for your third book and congratulations on getting the contract!

Alright story, basically skipped all the chapters... I have found the story very dull. There's nothing rly to it. I mean the hero he travels with is already in the level 70s.... like wtf? We see no progression from the mc. It's like he is a little voice just floating along with the hero... I was waiting practically the whole story so far for the mc to go back to his "owner" the girl. I mean she is a newbie adventurer and is like level 10 or something. There would have been much progression from the mc and his companion then. We would see them grow together with the mc learning more about the world in the travels. He would acc gain levels etc. For me, the first couple of chapters were really weird with the father throwing away the ring to the random-ass happenings after. Then for me the story just becomes nothing. No progression for the mc no growth or anything just an extremely dull story with nothing happening. (for the mc) If the story was about the hero then it would be a bit more interesting but this isn't why I wanted to read the story. I came for the ring mc...
