MY TRUE LOVER

Started reading this book after completing the first one. Looking forward to this, writer!

It's better than the fire novel, at least.I like funny, overpowered stories.There aren't really any inconsistencies, per se. The author just doesn't understand how literally anything works.He says a company worth 150 billion is small, and just starting. I understand different currencies exist, but it's still a bit weird  since a massive company is only worth 350 billion.He forgets and changes usd to yuan later on for a bounty.The MC has a great golden finger, but it's super shallow. I wrote a joke when it finally happened, but it seemed like anything said about the MC became true. But only if it was good. When he gets called fat, nothing happens.Also, he magically has a perfect memory outside of the Golden finger. I'd be okay with that, except it literally is such an easy scene for him to get that from his golden finger, that it feels stupid. He's already basically a perfect guy even before the golden finger, according to the author. (Not the old reincarnation, the new one.) 95/100 looks, genius, great memory, good personality. Just needs to work out a bit. The author doesn't understand hacking at all, so him writing about it is annoying. If rather it was a fantasy world so I didn't have to care.Other characters didn't seem to have very unique personalities at all.  I don't remember any great comedy, only cringe from cliche.This premise makes for a good comedy or face slapping novel, at best. But that's really not what this is.At least, the closest to that is when he claims to easily be able to cook a steak.I don't think I even know anyone who can't cook a steak. Technology makes it easy.Anyway, it's an okay book overall, but nothing special.

The major flaw of this novel is the MC.It is almost like there are two different people living inside him. The Master and the Child.The Master is calm and composed, remembers the life and experience of the alchemy emperor and is generally well adjusted.The Child appears every time the author needs to show just how awesome the MC or his Chinese heritage is. I really don't get why glorifying yourself and your country is such a big deal. The child is also a attention seeker. But, a split personality is not really a no go for a novel. The trouble starts when the Child does stupid things that only serve to delay the progress of the story as well as causing troubles for the Master to solve.In one moment the MC is composed and knows when to act, but in the next he seeks trouble everywhere.But don't take my word for it. Let me give you an example.MC needs to take a basic alchemy exam to be able to rent a furnace. It is a 24h available online only exam.What the MC needs to do is get it done. What he does is take the maximum number of available exams in one go.There is literally no benefit, as far as we and the MC at that point in time know, to taking more exams. But the child seeks attention.At school the avarage grade MC shows of knowledge about seals he should not know, but because of his lucky chance he is now a native speaker of the otherworldly language. As a result he gains scrutiny by his teacher and classmates, a rival who will continue to antagonize him and a possible one sided love interest. There is no benefit to standing out, no grades no additional resources. He literally does it to show off and embrace the class monitor (antagonist).The MC lack of common sense, the stupid attention seeking and his desperate pleas for other to notice his unusual increases in strength do not fit his background as a hard working poor student who is used to being disadvantaged.Anyone who has been overlooked and disadvantaged by the extended family and the public at large will gain at least a little bit of maturity and a sense of caution. Not to mention his father shows how to keep quiet while working towards a better future.Even the younger sister shows a very mature attitude. An attention seeker would have never had a good relationship with a disabled sibling who by default would have needed much more care and attention.All of this before the MC gained centuries of experience and knowledge.The idea and framework of the novel are wasted by the author because he desperately tries to increase word count by creating useless conflicts while regularly destroying his own characterization of the MC.

.... I can't bring myself to keep reading only got up to the end of ch 9 but this says it all for me a godly wasted talent and a cookie cutter swordsman

I am reader that doesn't have the patience to wait for untranslated chapters of chinese/japanese/korean novel and I already have the ability [Auto-Correct](Max)?? so the writing quality doesn't affect me but I'll still give that part a 1 star. Next is about the smut scenes. I think that you don't need to make it detailed everytime. I think you should make it detailed for the first time of each girls with mc and the next time make it short but not vague (like the first smut scene with his companion). Then, there is the part where mc thinks with his d*ck, I think readers should be prepared for that because the TAG already said it. I also appreciate the fact that this book doesn't have the most cliche plot like nonsense face-slapping. Overall, I like the novel and the MILFS lol.

I'm only reading this because of its anime adaptation which I really liked especially the 1st and 2nd episode. Finally I get to continue to where the animation left off.
