Shen Xingcong transmigrated into a specific starting point of the cultivation script and became the cannon fodder senior brother of Xiao Lin, the main villain in the text.

At that time, Xiao Lin was still an unworthy junior brother, but Shen Xingcong knew that this person would one day slaughter the whole family completely. Even his fellow teachers, who treated him very well, won’t be let off!

Therefore, when he woke up and saw his junior brother had been bullied and humiliated by the original owner, there was only one thought in his mind.

Well played!

Beat him to death, beat him to death!

Xiao Lin was born with an antisocial personality. Since it couldn’t be changed, it would be better to retaliate (cross out) and educate bluntly!

Shen Xingcong was no longer afraid.

.

Until one day, he came back home.

The baleful Shura stood among the sea of blood with a sword, his eyes were bright red, and he looked back at him.

Shen Xingcong straightened his neck firmly and waited silently for the sword to penetrate his chest. Unexpectedly, the man smiled.

“No one will hinder us again.”

His face was stained with blood, but his tone was utterly inconsistent with innocent.

“After I take over the sect, you will be the wife of the sect leader, okay?”

.

Xiao Lin was defective in human emotions and desires since childhood. He was unable to feel happy and never even feel pain. Only the sense of emptiness spreading unceasingly in his body.

Until that person appeared, a dark heart finally burst into waves.

He ignored the man’s terrified look. He pushed the man to the bed forcefully and brushed the corner of his reddened eyes with his cold fingertips.

“Senior brother is the one who provokes me first.”

His eyes were slightly curved, yet they seemed to sink into the mud, and the bottom couldn’t be seen.

“So, you should also be responsible to the end.”

Note:

白切黑 (bái qiē hēi)

“White Cut Black” means a character who looks innocent and lovable on the surface is actually a black-bellied big shot who is resolute and ruthless.

Typically, I would pen a review after finishing or abandoning a novel, but I believe the current rating doesn't fully capture its essence. Up until now, I've found the main character (ML) quite intriguing due to his detached yet engaging demeanor, which stands out in the realm of BL literature. The dynamic between him and the protagonist is a refreshing departure from the norm, as the MC's humanity contrasts starkly with the ML's almost psychopathic nature, making for a highly entertaining read.

The author and translator have done an commendable job thus far in conveying the narrative, leaving me eagerly anticipating the next installment. I'll update this review once more chapters are available, but based on what I've read so far, I wholeheartedly recommend this book.

4/5 Stars: Initially, the novel seemed to have a lighthearted dynamic between a humorous older brother figure and a mischievous younger brother, but it delves much deeper as the story unfolds. What I appreciate is the character development, as both the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML) stand out, which is unusual for me. Despite the ML being portrayed as a demon, he isn't an unreasonable or unhinged antagonist; Xiao Lin exhibits genuine empathy towards the MC and their relationship is intriguing due to the stark contrast between their moral compasses.

Shen Xingcong gradually falls in love with Xiao Lin, but his internal struggle between world peace and saving the ML adds depth to the narrative. I initially picked up the book expecting a clichéd yandere storyline, but its focus on logic keeps it grounded. However, there were a couple of downsides:

1. Lack of explicit content: Although the title suggests a yaoi theme, there's not much physical intimacy. I've updated the tag to 'shounen ai' to avoid confusion for future readers.

2. Slightly rushed plot: The story could have benefited from a longer runtime. The ending felt abrupt, like a sudden conclusion to a film. I would have liked to see more development in the supporting characters and their relationships with the MC, especially since the MC leaves them behind, leaving me wanting closure.

In summary, if you enjoyed "Transmigrated into a Heartthrob Novel and Went OOC," I'd still recommend this read despite its minor shortcomings. It offers a unique take on the genre with engaging characters and a thoughtful plot progression.

The storyline is intriguing, but the weekly pace is driving me crazy! Here's a summary of the plot so far:

Our main character (MC) finds himself transmigrated into a world where the villainous seed, ML, is destined to bring destruction. As ML's older brother, MC initially plans to intervene to maintain peace, considering the novel he read, which suggests ML would harm those who were kind to him.

ML appears apathetic and distant, but there's an underlying obsession forming, though he's unaware of it. MC, being morally upright, initially contemplates killing ML, a child, for the greater good. However, he eventually decides against it due to ML's persuasive argument that he might not become truly evil and MC's fear of taking a life. The MC now focuses on closely monitoring ML and preventing him from regaining his powers.

What sets this relationship apart is its realistic progression; it starts off as a transactional dynamic rather than instant romance, which I appreciate.

In short, the plot has a compelling foundation with a nuanced character development, and the slow-burning chemistry between the two characters adds depth to the story.

I had such high hopes for this; I've been closely following it for months, witnessing its growth from almost nothing, convinced it would become one of my favorites. Unfortunately, today I have to let it go. The effort to continue reading has drained me, as I've noticed not only is the plot stagnant, but there's a lack of genuine connection between the main characters. There's so much more I could point out, but I'll save it for possible future edits.

I won't be assigning a rating to prevent it from affecting its overall score negatively.

"I highly recommend it! The dynamic between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML) is adorable and heartwarming, their interactions bring lots of joy (-_-✿^-^) Despite initial misunderstandings that might be a bit frustrating, it's still a delightful read. The ML has a yandere personality, which might not suit everyone's taste, but personally, I find it charming (❤️❤️) Every scene where the ML tries to steal the MC's tofu is incredibly amusing, leaving me grinning from ear to ear. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. A definite must-read recommendation!"

I'm not entirely convinced by this. My search for historical fantasy BL novels led me to this one, but unfortunately, I struggled to connect with the story early on. The main issue I have is the inconsistency in the portrayal of the male lead (ML). He's initially depicted as emotionless, yet suddenly becomes extremely focused on the main character (MC) for no clear reason...

SPOILER AHEAD:

...after the MC turns into a demon cultivator.

This sudden change feels forced. You can't justify a complete transformation in someone's personality without proper development or explanation. If the aim was to build a romantic connection, this approach doesn't work for me.

Despite my reservations, I'll continue reading, hoping for improvement. There are moments of potential, and I think it might serve as a decent time filler until a better series comes along.
