Except for one thing: the mountain is crawling with bugs, snakes, and all manner of creepy crawlies. Every night, something cold and slippery slithers across her skin. She sleeps fitfully, unable to figure out what it is—until one night, she gets up and accidentally sees the young man bathing. Broad shoulders, narrow waist, his body shrouded in mist—and behind him, a long, black snake tail stretches out from the water: shadowy and sinuous.
