Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Heloise, who became a victim of the Brook family's cruel intentions. They used her as a shield for their biological daughter, treating her unfairly and subjecting her to immense suffering. As a result, Heloise faced a harrowing childhood, eventually being cast aside into the dark and treacherous world of BlueWolf Mountain's slums. Enter Reginald Wordsworth, a powerful and enigmatic figure as the CEO of the PHOENIXFELL Empire's leading conglomerate. His gaze fell upon Heloise, offering her a chance at a different life. With a dramatic shift in fortune, she embarked on a quest for justice, ingeniously posing as a mental patient to outwit Reginald and uncover the secrets surrounding his empire. Despite her humble beginnings, Reginald couldn't resist Heloise's allure and showered her with extravagant care. The public was amazed when they witnessed her signing numerous real estate agreements, even while appearing drowsy, and the astonishment grew when the wealthy tycoon, Reginald Wordsworth, publicly declared his marriage to her. People couldn't comprehend how someone like Heloise, once destitute, could suddenly command such attention. They questioned her arrogance, only to have Reginald's son quip about his own origins, "If Mommy can't bear children, where did I come from?" These whispers only served to highlight the remarkable transformation Heloise had undergone.

What a trip, didn't expect to see this here. I've been reading this for years now. It's a great Western xianxia, not translated so a lot of the tropes are different. The protagonist is OP, but it trends towards slice of life, where the MC replaces a villain template and then just kinda does their own thing.

I'd recommend it, but again it's pretty stylistically different from most translated xianxias, so expect it to feel different in ways that are difficult to put your finger on.

This novel is a mixture of tapov and the bloodline system
