Abandoned and broken in the dimly lit streets of Zaun, Powder, a young girl with blue hair, was all alone, haunted by the stinging words of her sister, Vi, who hit her and cut her, branding her a “jinx” before leaving her. Eventually, she Mets Sora—a boy with a mysterious key-shaped weapon—and his friends Donald and Goofy. Seeing and felling her loneliness, Sora offers Powder kindness and companionship, breaking through her wall of despair. For the first time, Powder feels a glimmer of hope and the warmth of friendship as she takes a step towards a brighter future, leaving the shadows of her past behind. However, seven years later, Powder, now 16 and has grown stronger and more confident, has to go face to face with not just the anxiety of failing everything, but the ghosts of her past in Zaun.
