Camilla Walters believed her journey had reached its climax when her fate seemed to catch up with her. With nowhere to escape or find solace, she was precariously close to becoming the unfortunate meal for drug smugglers she owed a substantial debt to.
But fate had other plans, introducing her to Alexi, the head of the powerful Carrero family - an unlikely savior who effortlessly rescued her from that desperate situation and turned her life around in one swift move.
Little did she know, to secure her survival, she would have to make a deal with the devil, which would ultimately consume not only her physical safety but also her heart and mind. This isn't your conventional tale of love and roses; it's a gripping tale where intrigue unfolds and battles ensue.
Book 7 in The Carrero Series, this installment stands on its own, weaving in subtle hints from earlier stories to provide context for the new characters. For a more comprehensive understanding, begin with "The Carrero Effect."
I loved this book. You don't necessarily need to read the first two books before this one but it does help. Well written. I can't wait for more books in this series. I would love some bonus chapters in Alexi's POV as well.
