Lycus, the Alpha King, inquired softly, "What's your name?"
"Nyx," she replied, hesitantly.
"Nyx Evander, huh?" he prodded, already sounding disapproving.
"I understand," he muttered, then declared, "I'm going to decline your proposal." His words pierced her heart like a knife.
Tears welling up, she yearned to plead, promising anything to keep him from rejecting her. But he continued without remorse, "Accept my decision and move on. We can never unite. I, as the Alpha King, don't require a partner like you."
Her cries intensified as he无情地 added, "Cease your tears, it's annoying!" Despite his sternness, she couldn't help but sob uncontrollably.
"You'll leave after this rejection and never return to my territory, Omega," he warned, ensuring she understood the gravity of the situation.
Nodding numbly, she watched as he prepared to deliver the final blow. "Lycus Dardanos, Alpha King of the werewolf community...next in line after the council, and Blackmoon pack's leader...rejects Nyx E..." But before he could finish, a blinding light illuminated the room, followed by a fierce gust of wind that sent her crashing into the wall.
