At the age of 18, Flynn took over his father's esteemed million-pound chocolate empire, but he harbors a secret - he is gay. His strict upbringing has left him deeply closeted, haunted by two main fears: the potential to ruin his family business and the fear of revealing his true identity. Enter Lucas, a new employee who brings a refreshing change. Openly gay and full of charm, Lucas frequently engages in playful flirting with Flynn, though he might not realize the impact it has on his boss.
As days go by, Flynn struggles to maintain the facade of heterosexuality and distance from Lucas, who seems to become more than just a valued colleague in his dreams. These vivid recollections from his childhood stir up feelings of a connection he can't quite place – a connection he believes resembles Lucas. Meanwhile, Lucas is determined to bring happiness to Flynn, even though Flynn seems oblivious to their shared history and doubts his own worthiness of happiness.
This delicate dance between the two men forms the basis of a complex and emotionally charged story, one in which Lucas takes on the challenging task of helping Flynn embrace his true self, all while navigating the intricacies of their professional relationship.
Of what I have read this book is amazing. The author is amazing. I've read a bit of some other works by this author and I'm hooked. The writing style, the way each line is written is just amazing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
