In the captivating story of "The Stone Sister Series," we find Emerald Patience Stone, the second-oldest sister known for her strategic prowess. Despite her intellect and ability to outmaneuver opponents, she hasn't anticipated being discarded by men. Determined to break free from the pattern of always coming second, Emmy devises a plan to pursue her dreams independently, away from sacrificing her desires for her family's sake. However, fate seems to have other plans when she is called upon once more to assist her family in forming an alliance with the Forza Pack, led by Alpha Vincenzo. A man of enigmatic charm, Vincenzo carries a dark history and has resigned himself to a solitary existence, indulging in casual one-night encounters due to an unbreakable curse that prevents lasting connections. As the two navigate their respective worlds, will Emerald and Vincenzo join forces to confront the looming threat? Can they overcome their pasts and entertain the idea of love amidst the chaos? This compelling tale continues in Book 2, following the intertwined paths of Emerald and Vincenzo in their quest for redemption and unexpected alliances. Previously: "Fearing Fate" (Book 1).

I don’t understand it. This novel is game/system based, and yet I haven’t even stopped reading it since I found this book this morning. I am already at chapter 100, and I am wanting to read so much more of it.  It flows well, hardly has unnecessary exposition, has great dialog and action sequences. It is a well thought out book with great pacing.  Good job! No! GREAT JOB!
