In werewolf folklore, it was commonly believed that their kind couldn't unite with vampdragons. However, this belief was shattered when Faye, the second-in-command of the Howlers pack, discovered her unexpected love, who just so happened to be a vampdragon. Vampdragons had their own royalty, and when Kevin, Faye's mate, overheard a conversation between a witch and his mother suggesting he wouldn't find happiness with his choice, he became upset. He decided to leave. As Kevin wandered, he sensed someone approaching the waterfall where he was resting. Instead of feeling alarmed, he roared, but it didn't deter the intruder.
