Peerless Battle Spirit

I ended up dropping this novel at like chapter 500. First reason is that there's way too many plot holes and it kinda feels like the author doesn't care much about what he's writing most of the times, world building is extremely bland. Proof of that is how messed up the cultivation system is. Even if you try to read the novel without paying much attention to those potholes and all the mess that is going on, it's quite hard to do so.
Second, Qin Nan is obviously based on Long Chen from 9 star hegemon. Long Chen is the same as Qin Nan as it's already a bad character that gets controlled by "fate" with a road paved that he can't walk against, and also controlled by some sort of thing inside him that dictates how he acts.

This is all to make writing easier and give excuses for "rare occurrences" to appear or the MC making stupid decisions.
In the case of Long Chen, however, he's at least well written. Qin Nan on the other hand is just a bland character that has nothing interesting

Imagine being silly and writing that your MC is right handed, yet suddenly making your off hand (left arm) immensely strong; and then having your right arm literally explode to create a saber. Sometimes LN authors just never think anything through.

What's with the constant "a rare occurrence took place"? I'm reading chapter 635 and a guard just knocked on the door, and yet this was a "rare occurrence"
