Just completed reading this novel and thought I might leave a review. At first glance, it seems like a normal op system urban novel where the mc gets overpowered quickly, but it isn’t. The system acts more of a guide or coach, granting certain powers but nowhere near as overpowered as in other novels. Kind of an interesting take in the genre which I appreciated. About the characters, I found them to be more 3D, fleshed out and real than I expected which was refreshingly nice. The MC is rational, knows his limits and isn’t trying to be a savior in every situation. I liked the interactions between the characters as it generally didn’t feel forced. Regarding the plot and the world background, I thought it could use a little more work. The time skips sometimes were pretty abrupt and I got confused what was happening sometimes. Same thing with world background: it is developed to an extent, but I feel like there were missing pieces by the novel was finished. On that note, the ending was somewhat abrupt and felt like a lot wasn’t resolved. Overall, the readability (grammar, punctuation, etc) was pretty good. There’s definitely potential in this novel and although I do think there’s room to improve, I did enjoy reading it. My favorite interactions were between mc and fl. Looking forward to more novels!
