In a world where heroes and monsters clash in epic battles, Ren is a baby orphaned after a devastating monster attack. Discovered by the legendary hero Bang (Silver Fang) while responding to the disaster, Ren is adopted and raised alongside Garo, Bang's other promising student. As they grow up in a rigorous training environment, the duo develops a bond forged through shared struggles and the philosophy of martial arts.
While Ren is idealistic and dreams of heroism, Garo becomes increasingly disillusioned with the Hero Association and its flawed system. Their contrasting beliefs lay the groundwork for both a deep friendship and a fierce rivalry. After passing the Hero Association entrance exam, Ren earns a high rank through discipline and dedication, while Garo's unorthodox style raises eyebrows and stirs controversy.
