For example, a woman has Ayanokouji cook for her in one book, similar to your cauliflower soup scene.However, Ayanokouji agrees because he's forced to. People are trying to get him expelled, and she has him cook for her to get him expelled, and he exposed her and didn't get expelled at the end. It's all interconnected.Your scene, by contrast, is just feeding the character's desperation to get him to love her without reason. Later, the scene is meaningless as the Ayato deduces a random ruse in an unearned development.
