Nahma is the king of the underworld.
He is not Hades, nor does he rule over the realm of death. No, the colossal centipede's dominion is the tunnels beneath a human city named Centropolis, a city rife with constant combat between superhumans on either side of the moral scale.
Nahma does not concern himself with their squabbles. He concerns himself with that which is his, and nothing else.
That was before Bain came along.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: The prologue is identical to the one in Infamous, one of my other stories; it is used because it's the exact moment Nahma and Bain encounter each other for the first time. Monstrous is a prequel to Infamous, not a rewrite or reboot.
