Mages- a special group of humans, who can tap into arcane energy in the world. For thousands of years, humans have improved both their skills and magical powers to fight the enemy, threatening to destroy their world.
Shadows- a race of monsters from another world and the threat to human world. They are magical beings who both outnumber and overpower the mages.
For thousands of years, the two races have been at war and now, the end of it is getting near.
Azarath, now going by the name, Kane, an ex-mage, who left magic behind after his mentor died. He now lives his regular life with his girlfriend, but this life can't go on any longer, as his powers and knowledge is needed once again to destroy the growing darkness.
