Their love story led to an arranged marriage, uniting their realms through their combined strength. While studying, Mapula formed a close friendship with Kwezilomso, a Xhosa girl whose father, Brian, was a cunning businessman. However, Brian's plans to exploit Mapula's situation backfired, leaving him penniless and reliant on others for survival. Tokelo, Mapula's brother, found himself captivated by Thabiso's sister, the Batloung princess.
