Out of seemingly nothing, a girl comes into existence in an odd world.
It's explained to her that she is the being known as the "Maou", an entity that comes into existence when a "Yuusha" is summoned. The humans of this world think she intends to kill them all and thus send the Yuusha to destroy her. Contrary to their belief however, the Maou has no intentions of destroying anyone.
The Maou has one year to find a solution and save herself from destruction. Is this a story about a misunderstood hero, or is it about the rise of the darkest villain?
