"You seriously believe I'm fooling around?" He growled, his voice strained, advancing towards me, causing me to retreat instinctively.
"I clearly instructed you, and you defied me, choosing to defy authority," he continued.
A myriad of retorts raced through my mind, but my focus was fixated on his now-glaring emerald eyes, their color transformed by his anger.
"Do you have any idea what becomes of those who resist?" I backed away until my back hit the wall, frustration escaping in a hiss.
Swallowing hard, I tried to avoid eye contact, hoping to diffuse the tension, especially considering we weren't alone in the house.
"Actually, I don't," I admitted, my voice wavering slightly as I raised my gaze to meet his intense stare.
He stepped closer, looming over me, his towering presence making me feel small. "They receive consequences," he said, his green eyes now laced with desire, momentarily blinding me. I shook myself to regain clarity.
Despite my fear, an undeniable attraction pulsed within me. I couldn't ignore it any longer. "Then, administer your punishment," I whispered.
