On that stormy, wet evening, Jillian Don found herself in a desperate chase, pursued by dangerous individuals. Despite her gunshot wound and struggling for each breath, she refused to give up. Just as hope seemed渺茫, a car abruptly pulled over. A man with an urgent and trembling voice called out, "Jill, let me assist you."
Intrigued and cautious, Jillian queried, "Who are you?" Ensuring her safety was paramount. The stranger replied, "I'm Jack Mayor," before collapsing into unconsciousness, offering her much-needed aid.
Aside from a few minor nitpicks, this is a very well-constructed story. I dig the premise and so have added this to my library. The first chapter drew me in like a prize tuna, and I can't wait for the payoff.

I genuinely don't understand all the hype around this novel. I've only completely read through chapter 22 but I randomly unlocked and read further chapters to make sure I was only right about the early chapters. This book is a mess. Its background is completely unoriginal as is the world. The characters in the starting village are completely flat and lack reasonable personalities. In addition to the poor character writing the story is basically just a list in chronological order of what the mc does. The killer for me is that it is genuinely unreadable as the author makes mistakes every sentence and nothing flows correctly making the experience jarring and unpleasant.
