She sternly said, "This is forbidden, Asael…" which made his jaw clench in anger. Her voice echoed the harsh words that shattered his life four years ago, repeating, "This is wrong."
"Why is it wrong, Ezrene? Is it because I'm your obsession, our stepbrother?" He growled, pinning her against his muscular frame. "Or is it because our fathers' impending marriage binds us?"

"You believe I fear him or my own demise?" He asked, cupping her face with gentle yet forceful hands. "If I did, I wouldn't have dared snatch you from your altar, in front of your future husband, our father, and the entire world, bella."
