As he leaned in, I gently placed my fingers on his lips to halt him, catching him off guard. Both of us appeared surprised by my unexpected action - I was not only declining a desire I had, but also turning down the man I held dear. I realized this might be a unique chance for him, a potential loss of his past memories and perhaps resentment for my love. On the flip side, it could ignite a beautiful romance. However, the thought of pursuing anything with him in his present state felt morally uneasy.
In a hushed voice, I said, "Let's take a bath, alright?"
He took a step back, his gaze lingering over my entire being, which made me feel self-conscious. In an attempt to break the silence, I asked, "Do you need help with even the simplest tasks now?"
Whispering to myself, overwhelmed, I muttered, "This is just insane."
