Jane Waleski and her dearest friend Emily Zuckerman are typically content with their modest accomplishments, labeling themselves as average on good days and, well, less fortunate on bad ones. Despite their self-proclaimed pride in this, they can't help but feel a pinch of insecurity. They opt for the shortest books for their book reports and consistently land the least exciting projects in science class. Their hearts are deeply rooted in romanticism, which adds another layer to their unique camaraderie. Together, Jane and Emily form "Loser Club," a peculiarly exclusive duo. However, when a fresh science teacher arrives at their school, Jane feels a sudden urge to impress and break free from her average reputation. This new challenge raises the question: will she have to step down from her role as vice president of their little Loser Club, or will she find a way to embrace change without abandoning their shared identity?
