This novel is set in medieval times and briefly in the future.
"Return to the Void; I have no use for you anymore." The captain was at a loss for words when he realized this god was real. The captain felt a tug at his soul; without a body, he could no longer feel. He faded and almost gave in to the feeling. But something made him stay awake; he couldn't give in just yet. The captain fought the urge to sleep and moved around in this emptiness. It was hard, but he managed to fight long enough to feel a beat in his chest. ~ Sulphisix
